Tangled – Part 4

Tangled is a short series that narrates the story of a Christian sister, Lizzy, trapped by lust and other strategies of the devil. She goes round and round for a long time, entangling herself. Did she triumph at last?

“Wow! What’s going on here? Sis Lizzy, what are you doing here?”

“Bro Bayo…”

“Wow! Wow! Wow! Bro Tobi! Tobi!!!” He shouted as he walked swiftly inside the apartment. It was
quite obvious that he was pissed. I didn’t know what to do, I just stood at the door. I really wasn’t expecting him to be at Bro Tobi’s house.

Kpa!

I shook in fright. Who slapped who? Before I knew it Bro Bayo came out of the house angrily, stopped in front of me, shook his head sadly and walked past me.

Then, I looked back to see Bro Tobi standing at the door with his hands on his cheek and a little smirk on his face.

Talking about the devil. “Mtchewww.”

I brought out his gift and threw it at him. As I turned around to leave, I felt his hand grip me. I almost gave in but Bro Bayo…

What am I going to do now? Will he call off the engagement? Will he report me to the church? But I didn’t do anything wrong na? Just then, Matthew 5:8 drops on my mind. I’ve already started lusting after Bro. Tobi.

Beep!

My phone’s beep brought me back to consciousness, I dragged my hands away from Bro Tobi’s and walked as fast as I could, not looking back.

On getting to church, I checked around for Bro Bayo, he was not in church. What will I do now? My expression was just like that emoji with her two hands were on her head.

I was so grateful when the service ended because I’d been restless throughout the service. I’ve been thinking of what I will tell Bro Bayo to gain his trust. He sent a message to me and I’m scared that he would disengage me.

“Sis Lizzy, I was very surprised to see you at a man’s house knowing fully well that he’s still a new member. And even after I told you about him and how he deceived you the other time. I was really humiliated and I don’t still get it. I want to take some time to pray about us. Don’t worry, I’ll not report to the church yet.”

When I read it, I was just wondering what I’ve put myself into. I can’t tell Ronke about it, I can’t tell anyone. God have mercy.

Bro Tobi’s Point of View

I really can’t believe that Sis Lizzy will let the devil use that brother to come between both of us. What am I even saying? Between her and God. I really should do something about it. Let me text her best friend and let her know what’s up.

“Ahh! Bro Bayo, are you serious?” Ronke shouted that everyone around her turned to look at her.

She was in a bank so she just waved her hands to apologize for disturbing.

“Yes o, I’m very serious. I really want us to pray for her. You don’t have to meet her to tell her I told you o. Let’s just pray for her.”

“Definitely! I’ll join you in prayer. I’m just surprised she never carried me along. But Bro Bayo, you really love her o. Despite how this thing is affecting you, you’re still thinking of praying for her.”

“Don’t worry, God will take control of the matter.”

“Yes oh! See you later. Bye”

“Bye dear.”

Sis Lizzy Point of View

Knock! Knock!

Who’s there?

Who could that be? Lizzy just travelled to see her parents yesterday so who could that be? I really wish it’s Bro Bayo. He has refused to pick my calls and has blocked me on WhatsApp.

“Hiii”, the smile I saw on the face I least expected to see here just irritated me.

While I was still thinking, he pushed his way through and went straight to sit on my bed.

“Where’s that gown I saw you wear the other day? It was cute.” He winked and giggled.

I peeped outside to see if anybody was around then, I shut the door and locked it. It might have been a wrong move but I wasn’t ready to let anyone worsen my car with Bro Bayo.

“Bayo, what do you want here?” I turned around and faced him only yo notice the big grin on his face.

“Lizzy or waittt… Sis Lizzy, I’m here to apologize for the embarrassment the other day. But you’d have told you wanted us to see in camera na, that way, I’ll plan a good meeting. I didn’t even know you were coming. I guess you just wanted to see my face”, he smirked.

“No, I…”

He laughed

“Don’t worry, you don’t have to explain. We’re both feeling each other sooo”, he shrugged leaving me dumbfounded.

“Anyways, I came with a gift. So, close your eyes.”

I looked up at him suspiciously.

He stood up and walked to my back.

“Close your eyes na.”

What’s he up to?

I close my eyes and I feel him tie my hands. Then, he comes close to my neck and breaths on me.

“Are your eyes closed?”

“Yesss” my voice shook, more out of want then strife. I forgot all about Bro Bayo and all I wanted right now was Tobi.

He planted a kiss on my lips, then paused as if to see my reaction. Then, he grabbed me and kiss me more but harder this time and filled with more passion. After a few seconds, he carried me up and dropped me on the bed.

And we did it.
