My Experience at The Deeper Life Bible Church, Gbagada, First Service

Deeper Life Bible Church, Gbagada

On Tuesday, 24th of April, 2018, the newly constructed, ultra-modern headquarters of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Gbagada, was commissioned with several dignitaries including the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, in attendance.

Today, 29th of April, 2018, the church held it’s first official Sunday Service after 13 years of reconstruction.

It was a memorable and colourful service as the congregation teemed in their numbers, the 30,000 seating capacity was literally filled up.

Even though I missed the commissioning of the Church, I’m glad I was part of the people who worshipped there at the first Sunday Service.

I got to church during the Search The Scriptures (Sunday School) session and been my first time, I was wowed by the beauty and magnificence of the building.

The service was filled with a special aura and was wrapped up by a powerful sermon and prayer by the General Superintendent, Pastor W.F Kumuyi.

The sermon titled “A NEW DAWN OF GREATER GLORY” captured the essence and significance of the service with a lot of God’s promises affirmed and re-affirmed.

After the service, I and my friend did a small tour of the church, with pictures of course😀.

Apart from the 30,000 seating capacity, there’s also an underground church for the children and a multi-staired car park that also housed a restaurant (at least I saw one).

As we toured, I reminisced about the old church, I remembered the massive pedestrian traffic and how my dad would always buy meat pie and drinks for us after church service.

During our tour, we realized that FanMilk was giving free yoghurt but you had to write your name and phone number down. Of course, I and my friend got one for ourselves each😀😎.

On getting to the restaurant, we got to know that a pack of jollof rice and beef was sold for #150 (naira), so we decide to get a pack each. The food was very okay for such a price.

I’m glad to be a part of those who participated in such a great event, especially since I knew about/worshipped in the old church (this new building took us 13 years to complete) and yeah, I got to take a picture with Mr Femi Adesina, special adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity😀😀.

Did you go to church today or did you worship at the Deeper Life Headquarters Church too? How was your experience and what did you learn?

Have a beautiful week ahead.

Lots of love and positive vibes,
